Twitter officially announced that it migrated all of its 100% users to #newtwitter. Well, if you feel like all users going to enjoy the new feature, I would rather say as Twitter gonna enjoy this feature much. If you analyze the recent interface in new twitter, you will understand one thing that – what Twitter gonna do with lots of space in the right side bottom? The answer is very simple. Once you become giant in any industry, just make people to come to your website for doing advertisement . Google doing the same, just having too much space in right side of its SERP & its running Adwords. It wont be a surprise for me, if Twitter showing ‘twitads’ in the right side.
Promoted Twitter Accounts:
Twitter launched promoted twitter trends and promoted tweets months before and now they are adding promoted twitter in the list. Many tweeples said their objection over the feature “who to follow” in twitter. Twitter don’t care about those feedbacks and now they are using that for advertisement purpose.
The concept is very simple, if you pay money; your account will be suggested to many and obviously you will get many number of followers. Its kind of cool feature for business people who are in B2C & B2B market.
Twitter says,
Promoted Accounts are suggested based on a user’s public list of whom they follow. When an advertiser promotes an account, Twitter’s algorithm looks at that account’s followers and determines other accounts that those users tend to follow. If a user follows some of those accounts, but not the advertiser’s account, then Twitter may recommend the advertiser’s Promoted Account to that user.
Twitter is testing this feature as of now and your account interface will be having these promoted twitter account suggestions as soon. And please share your thoughts via comments.
