Article Submission Tips

Article Submission – One of the powerful link building strategy used to catapult your website rankings and traffic. Article submission is free, simple and easy for even a novice. Now a days people started using article submission to dominate their niche market and drive more traffic towards their website.

Lets see some of the tips for submitting articles.

  • The article you are going to submit should be original, in simple English and in the form that can be easily understandable by users. Make sure that your article is free from grammatical errors.

  • There is no need for your article to be too long. Write your article with an optimal length of 500-1000 words.

  • Knowing your main keywords before writing and submitting is very essential. You must understand your primary and secondary keywords.

  • A major tip for unbeaten submission is to have a unique and keyword rich article title. Title should be niche, clear and concise which in turn will yield good results. It is better to keep your title within 60 characters. If your article is about a software include it in the title.

  • Write an appropriate summary for your article. Make your summary short and crisp which help the users to understand what your article is about.

  • The best way to grab the readers attention while doing submissions is to make sure that your content is quality which in return bring you more visitors.

  • Before submitting an article, read the guidelines of various article directories. I always recommend reading Ezine article directory guidelines as it’s applicable for all article directories over the web. Some directories will strip out HTML and some don’t. Make sure you take proper care of that in order to obtain maximum links with your targeted anchor texts.

  • Your content should be build around with your keywords. Don’t repeat the keywords more number of times. Make sure the keyword density of your article must be 2% to 5%.

  • Specify your bio or links to your site in ‘About the Author’ area or ‘Resource Box’. Check whether you have given the link correctly and make sure that your link will specifically direct the reader to a precise page on your website and not just to your website where they will have to search their way out.

  • Don’t make too many links to your website in your article – as the chances of your article being approved decreases. As a rule of thumb, get one link in ‘Article Body’ and two links in ‘Author Bio’ – this works well for most of the article directories.

  • Don’t forget to check the preview of your article before submitting, if that option is available. Most of the directories have edit option so that you can modify your submission later on.

  • It is a bad idea to simply copy and paste your article from a word document. The best practice is you must first copy your article in a normal text editor and then format it. It will make your work easier in the process of article submission.

  • Don’t use the same article(s) that you submit to article directories on your website as that may trigger duplicate filters of search engines. If you want to, atleast tweak your article a bit.

  • Find as many article directories as possible that are related to the content on your own site. Google this:”your keyword” submit article. You may let us know of any extra article directories that you are able to find out and we will submit your article(s) to these article directories also.

  • Don’t publish your email address while submitting to article directories – as you know what that means? SPAM!!! – or you may make a separate email account for this purpose.

  • If you want your article to be picked up by some of the larger places, then you are better off submitting it by hand under your own name and account (rather using any automated service/software).

  • Make sure to submit your article in only RELEVANT article directories and it should be submitted in the correct category.

  • Once your article is published bookmark it using any of the bookmarking sites. Since social bookmark sites can also drive significant traffic to your website.

  • If suppose you’re busy by engaging yourself with other website promotions and don’t have time to write an article, then hire an professional authors / experts to write articles with good quality content.

  • Consistency is the key. It is a fact that as more and more articles are added to the article directories, your article will go lower in the listings, but if you constantly and consistently submit new articles, then you will continue to reap the benefits.

  • Keep patience – If suppose your article gets rejected for any of the reasons, allow some time and consider resubmitting it again by following the guidelines carefully.
